Treating Warts with James Barclay, PA-C

Anyone can get warts. Children, teens, nail-biters, & people with a weakened immune system are more prone to getting a wart virus (HPV) than others.

Warts are harmless and can eventually go away on their own courtesy of your own immune system, however, until they do, they can spread very easily. The more they are touched, scraped, itched, etc, the more likely they will spread to neighboring skin— whether that’s on you or the people around you. It often takes a few months for warts to grow large enough to see.

As James explains, there are more than 100 strains of HPV, and sometimes it just takes longer than average  for an immune system to overcome HPV. Watch the video as James explains how different treatments work to destory the wart and as an impetus for your own immune system to take care of the virus.
